The resort had its genesis 1998 when Ibu Yuni, set her eyes on a remote and isolated patch of tropics, in front of what was then considered ‘too rough waters’ to appeal to anyone who would visit.
It was an intuitive call spurred by a unison of feeling and reasoning, which typified the Indonesian philosophy of Budi. Combined with Ibu’s unyielding determination, the decision was set and by the dawn of the new millennium, the resort was built.
Since its establishment in 2000, the resort has cultivated and practiced community and family values, employing its staff from the surrounding areas, some who have been part of the team since the Resort’s early inception.
Guided by responsible practices that respect both the community and its environment, the Resort strives to operate consciously across all aspects of its business in order to protect its natural heritage.
The Resort provides its guest with refillable water bottles, replacing the use of disposable plastic items such as drinking straws and bottled water which invariably pollute the environment. Another initiative is the onsite hydroponic vegetable garden which supplies the restaurant, reducing the use of transportation and supporting the Resort’s effort to minimize its footprint.
As an Indonesian family owned and operated business, Tropical Beach Resort is imbued with a personal touch and warm hospitality. The owners are passionately involved in the day-to-day running of theResort, taking great care to ensure that its guests enjoy their stay and can access the best of what the resort has to offer.
Whether it’s to assist you with your holiday activities or working the kitchen to cook your meals, you’ll find the ‘all-hands-on-deck' spirit is alive and well at Tropical Beach Resort!
